Although slightly off topic, with the recent explosions, it might be interesting to see what safety precautions are used by the mining industry.

You might want to check the state of West Virginia. Their economy relies heavily on coal, they should have some links about the industry. The DOE (Department of Energy) should also have some information of all sources of alternative fuels.

well they use coal to make steam that that turn a terbine which generate electricity to power homes and then in some places the steam is then put in pipes to homes to keep them warm-------coal was use on trains to make steam to power the trains but they had to stop for water every 20- 30 miles and thats how dallas- fortwort got started by the train stoping for water --------but now trains are hybrid that use deisel and get like 200 miles there are a lot of coal mines in tennessee, oakrigde where albert enstein helped develop the first nukeuler bombs Suspect affraid Suspect
